Amin Saidoun completed his studies in business administration in France and Germany and has Master’s degree in European Studies from the London School of Economics. He has 30 years of working experience in operations and projects gained first in international auditing and consulting in Düsseldorf (www.thorntongroup.com)
He then worked for Deutsche Post/DHL in Bonn and Madrid (www.dhl.com), a large multinational company in the logistics sector prior to becoming a board member of Institut Max von Laue-Paul Langevin in Grenoble www.ill.eu, a large-scale fundamental research facility that produces neutrons for society.
In 2012 he was appointed Executive Director of International Project Management Association
( www.IPMA.world ) an international non for profit federation of 72 project management organizations, operating in 72 countries. It was founded in 1965 and is registered in Zürich (CH).
As Executive Director, Amin Saidoun is responsible for the management of operations, finance, and compliance. He is also responsible for the Region Middle-East and Africa where he initiated the start-up of several project management organizations. He finally develops with the President of IPMA the alliances and partnerships to engage with new stakeholders and develop the outreach and visibility of IPMA and the profession worldwide.
Amin Saidoun has published various articles in the field of project management. His particular interests are diversity in project-oriented organizations, projects, and project management in non-for-profit organizations.
He is a regular speaker and moderator at conferences and project management-related events.
